Make Chocolate Fair! caused a furore with its video clip “Chocolate Shock”: Good food, great company, candle light – the only thing missing is a yummy dessert. But it is incredible what ends up on the plates in this film! The jury members of the Deauville Green Awards agreed and awarded Silver to “Chocolate Shock” in the category “Responsible Consumption and Eco-Labels” in the section “Public Awareness Campaigns”. We are amazed!

The video clip “Chocolate Shock” has been produced by INKOTA in cooperation with filmmakers Peter Wedel and Peter Altmann from ecofilm – sustainable film productions for the campaign Make Chocolate Fair! We aimed at sensitizing as many people as possible to the injustices in cocoa farming and at collecting many more signatures for the campaign’s petition. This plan took off: Within a very short time the video clip spread around the web and was watched over 50,000 times.

This year the Deauville Green Awards took place for the fourth time in Deauville, France. The international film festival was created in 2011 by the association “A Screen for the Planet” to honor film productions from the field of sustainable development. This year 300 institutional and corporate films, as well as documentaries from 30 countries were submitted, from which 100 films got nominated.
